“A great photograph is one that fully expresses what one feels, in the deepest sense, about what is being photographed.”

About Me
I was always interested in photography, mainly because as a child I would always see my dad using his 35mm camera during family vacations to places like the Grand Canyon and Carlsbad Caverns, producing some stunning pictures. As a sophomore in high school, I took Photojournalism as an elective and learned about the science and techniques behind photography. This was the late 80’s, so I even learned how to develop the film and how to make prints in a real dark room. My dad supported me by giving me his Canon AE-1 and a couple of lenses.
Photography has always been a hobby for me, although I did attempt my hand at commercial product photography for a short time, I chose to keep my work and photography life separate. I enjoy photography as a hobby, concentrating mostly on nature subjects and rustic architecture. However, if I see someone or something outside these venues, I won’t hesitate to take a photograph, provided I have a camera with me.
Now that I’ve retired from my chosen military career, I have become more active with my hobbies, and this site is my way to share some of my favorite shots with you. The gallery content will change from time to time, and because I’m not marketing myself as photographer for hire, the subject content will vary wildly. (But if you want to offer me crazy money for one of my shots, I’m always open to offers.)
Thank you for stopping by,
